Aplin, any center fielder, plays hard and has now a penchant for making hard catches. Center field is a position of strength for your Astros, with Dexter Fowler holding down the position and George Springer perhaps relocating there from right industry soon. But Aplin has tools -- he's an excellent defender by incorporating speed, and his ability to hop on base in the Minor Groups rivals Robbie Grossman.

'I've always been of which type of player,' Aplin said. 'It kind of plays exactly into what [the Astros] want, and I've just became to continue to get better in internet and keep going from here.'

Aplin stands only 6-foot -- once again, like Grossman -- and will need to carve a niche to make the big group club. He'll need to get upon base, he'll need to use his or her speed as a weapon and he's been working on his bunting.

'I'm just going to go out presently there and compete for another job,' Aplin said.

Bobby Bradley might have heard his brand called on Day 1 from the First-Year Player Draft, considering they publicly stated that only a first- or second-round selection would influence him to forego higher education.
